This organic, sustainable and beautiful Kariba Basket has been handcrafted by women from the Buhera group in Northern Zimbabwe. Woven from local ilala palm fibers, these vase-shaped baskets are traditionally used to store and carry grains in the African bush. One basket of this size can take around one week to complete, and it provides a sustainable source of income for the weavers’ families.
The Kariba Basket’s versatile hues of natural tan mean you can style this piece easily on a shelf or table and it will add texture and dimension to your living space.

This Kariba Basket is approximately 12” H x 11" W. Made of locally sourced ilala palm leaves in Zimbabwe.
Each basket has been individually crafted by hand and no two are exactly alike. Designs may differ slightly from basket to basket. Variations in color, finish, size and shape may occur. Please Contact Us if you have any specific needs or questions.
