This Storage Basket has been handwoven by a Fair Trade women’s cooperative in Uganda using locally sourced raffia, sweetgrass and organic dyes.
Each basket is crafted using a handmade process that produces vibrant colors and intricate designs. The artisan uses a needle and thread to wrap hand-dyed fibers into a tightly coiled, durable basket that takes several days to complete.
Our baskets are perfectly sized for children’s toys, as storage on shelves, or as planters. Every purchase directly supports our partner organization in Uganda that provides training and fair wage jobs to promote sustainable and scalable opportunities for their cooperative of women weavers in rural villages.
This basket is 8" H x 10" D.
Our Storage Basket is a high quality handmade craft sourced directly from its maker. No two baskets are exactly the same. Minor imperfections may be visible that speak to the handmade process and tell the story of its creator, adding to the character and patina of each piece.
All of our products are handcrafted using the finest natural materials. To prevent loosening the shape or weave of the basket, we recommend handling it with care and spot cleaning when necessary.

Our adorable line of knit animals is made by hand in the Peruvian highlands by a Fair Trade women’s cooperative. Our partners provide the opportunity for artisans from farming communities to generate supplemental income by creating these cute and cuddly dolls. The organization also provides job training and technical support to grow their expertise, empowering the artisans for sustainable work.
Each precious animal has been knit, loomed, and embroidered by hand using locally sourced materials such as cotton and alpaca. After a prototype has been established by our partner’s master weaver and the Meridian development team, they share the pattern with the remote artisans in the Andes mountains. It takes about 2 full days on average to create one animal doll, which the women make using traditional knitting techniques that have been passed down through generations.
We use only the highest quality natural cotton yarns that have been hand-picked with our artisan team in Peru. Each knit animal is created with heirloom quality in mind; These safe and soft lovies will last a lifetime.
This stuffed bunny is 12" tall.
We recommend spot cleaning your knit animal to help preserve its shape and details. That said, as parents we’ve been there and sometimes you need a better laundering option. In those rare instances, try for a gentle hand wash and avoid overly submerging it in water. Lay flat to dry.
